Bereavement counselling and therapy
Bereavement and loss is something that all of us will experience at some point on our lives and can be a painful and confusing experience.
I have much experience in this field and counselling will give you the opportunity to have your own ‘space’ to be heard, a place where you will not be told to ‘give it time’.
Bereavement and loss can bring about hidden feelings, particularly if we have unresolved issues around the person we have lost and I hope that together we can safely explore these to help give you understanding and acceptance.
Warmth and compassion
There is no linear process through grief and we can experience anger and denial, all of which are completely normal. We need to remind ourselves that loss is a natural part of life but sometimes it feels so overwhelming that talking about our loss can bring about a great comfort and help us to travel through the grieving process feeling heard.
I use a person-centred approach in my counselling, which means that our work together will be at your pace. Your loss will be respected, and you will be offered warmth and compassion.
